Do these things now for optimal irrigation performance and be more efficient with the water you apply to your landscape.  It’s imperative that you make adjustments and improvements in the field to allow the sprinklers to operate at the highest efficiency possible.

  1. Adjust tilted, sunken, and leaning sprinklers to hit target areas

  2. Reduce overspray onto fences, sidewalks, siding, and other non-landscape areas

  3. Inspect nozzles and screens, remove any debris or replace clogged nozzles

  4. Remove overgrown foliage or other obstructions blocking spray pattern

  5. Inspect valve boxes and pipes for leaks

  6. Inspect filters and clean filter elements

  7. Avoid water pooling and runoff, adjust controller program for shorter run times

  8. Inspect controller programming adjust for early season

  9. Cycle and soak irrigation programming for optimal lawn watering

  10. Avoid irrigating during the day, when winds are over 5 mph, or below 37° F temperatures
